Transitions to Work provides an extensive training and internship program that enables young adults with a disabilities to develop the skills needed for employment. Once people complete the training and internship, the program places them in jobs that provide earnings and a sense of purpose. This model creates strong collaborations with employers to raise awareness about inclusive hiring practices. They can engage corporate partners to consider young adults with disabilities as qualified, committed candidates for appropriate work opportunities.
Transitions to Work offers seven training sessions annually at employer training partner sites. These sites include CVS, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Whole Foods, and NewBridge On the Charles. Transitions to Work is a collaboration between the CJP, JVS, and the Ruderman Family Foundation.
