Narrative

The opportunity to lead a purposeful and fulfilling life may include finding a pathway to employment. Advocates partners with individuals who wish to find the right employment or career path based on their skills and interests. We provide opportunities for adults with intellectual and development disabilities to develop or expand their skills, work toward an earned income, and contribute to the community in a meaningful way.

Employment supports include job development; resume building; on-the-job training and support; assistive technology support; transportation coordination; case management; and employee benefits assistance. Employment settings may include garden centers, restaurants, hospitals, outdoor recreational sites, universities, retail stores, hotels, manufacturing plants, warehouses, and more.
