Narrative

Serves developmentally disabled (DD) adults who have medical and/or therapeutic needs.  Services include:

  • community integration
  • physical therapy (PT)
  • occupational therapy (OT)
  • speech therapy (SLT)
  • life skills training

We also focus on independent living and socialization skills. Limited support to nursing home residents. Also offers community-based activities and volunteer opportunities.

Program also houses Fairhaven Employment Services that offer:

  • vocational assessment
  • job development and placement
  • job coaching 
  • job support services

Our Fairhaven Day Center is the largest of our Greater New Bedford locations and includes employment services, day habilitation and life skills.

Conveniently located off Route 195 and across the street from the Fairhaven Bike Path which has been the home for our Annual Walk and Family Fun Day.

The Fairhaven Day Center provides a large kitchen, spacious therapy and program rooms, nurse stations and more.

The friendly and polite drivers of our transportation services provide safe rides to and from the Fairhaven Day Center.
