Narrative
A residential program offering a community alternative for people with intellectual disabilities. By living in private homes and experiencing the typical activities of family and community life, children and adults can benefit from strong relationships, expanded opportunities and individualized assistance. Fees paid through state contracts. In addition to shared living through DDS, SHC offers Adult Family Care through Masshealth.
Shared Living matches individuals with developmental disabilities with individuals and families so they might live and grow in a home-based situation and experience the everyday activities of family and community life.
