The Arc of the South Shore
General Info
Narrative
Our Residential Supports program offers a range of housing options including:
- apartments
- condos
- shared living
- single family homes
- residential group homes
for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This allows the agency to be flexible. We can be responsive to each person’s needs and likes. We provide support around activities of daily living (ADLs), health and money management, advocacy, and community involvement.
People must be 22 years old and referred by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) for residential care. We work with each person and their family to develop Individual and Family Support Plans. We use input from people themselves, family members, DDS, and The Arc. These plans allow people to live alone, with a roommate or family, or in one of our group homes.
Residential Supports provides direct services and emergency coverage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
