Vinfen offers residential services to people with complex needs in the community through our specialized residential services. We provide these services to adults who have intensive medical needs, adults with autism and young adults who are transitioning from living with their families to more independent settings.
Shared Living is a supported living arrangement where a person, couple, or family share their home and life’s experiences with a person with IDD. Shared Living arrangements closely copy a private home experience. We maximize the person’s independence and quality of life.
Shared Living providers are pre-screened, professionally trained, and matched with a person with IDD. They provide a safe and comfortable home setting. They support the person with tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, arrangement of and transportation to medical appointments. They help with socialization and participation in the community.
Emergency residential services are available for people with IDD who need short-term residential and day supports. The program provides clinical stabilization for people who may be in crisis. They may need of temporary housing. We work to re-integrate the person back into his or her permanent living arrangement.
Individual Supports is a service model where a person with IDD lives independently in their own home or apartment. Part-time support from Vinfen staff is given. Vinfen works with people and their families to develop a personalized model that meets the person’’s needs. This person-centered service is intended to help people gain the highest possible level of independence to live happy, productive, and valued lives.
