General Info
Narrative
MABHab day habilitation program is focused on individual skill development and independence for each of our clients. Our clients are adults that have a developmental disability or brain injury that occurred before the age of 22, and have a range of individual needs. Our staff include occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech pathologist, and behavioral consultants, as well as medical professionals. We provide orientation and mobility assessment for all incoming clients, and our specialists work with individuals to help maximize their mobility and independence. Specialists identify when to work with adaptive equipment as needed, and a therapy dog comes regularly to work with clients. Our expert staff help clients to develop useful life skills such as grocery shopping, financial management skills, and social relations. We work with the individual’s family to help meet their goals toward independence.
The program has a focus on skills acquisition and maintenance. We have a full time nurse and consultation by OT, PT and Speech Therapy.
