Narrative

Toward Independent Living and Learning (TILL) provides emergency residential and respite services to provide support to individuals and their families.

Formerly known as the Don Guanella Center and operated by the Daughters of Saint Mary of Providence since 1982, the center provided quality respite and emergency residential services. In 2014, the Center was slated to close upon the retirement of the sisters, but in order to continue these vital services, Toward Independent Living and Learning (TILL) purchased the Center and under contract with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), continues to offer emergency and planned respite services. Referrals continue to be made through the Metro Area DDS office.
