Narrative
Bridgewell’s respite program is designed for people with developmental and/or mental health problems who are in need of crisis stabilization. They may also have set up a planned stay. People who come as emergency placements receive a menu of services to help them become stabilized. The services focus on personal treatment planning and support to enable the person to return to his/her home as quickly as possible. Oftentimes plans are recommended to be continued upon discharge.
The planned respite service is available for families to use for respite stays for their family members. This lets caretakers to have a well deserved rest or vacation while knowing that their loved one will be well cared for by our specially trained staff. Around-the-clock, well-trained direct care staff members at respite sites. We give support and help in many areas including
- meds management
- healthcare coordination
- money management
- therapy services
- activities of daily living support
- social and recreational activities
All referrals to the program come from the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
