Adults with developmental disabilities age 22 and older; MassHealth eligible
Narrative
At Advocates Day Habilitation Program at the Life Skills and Learning Center, staff design a wide range of activities and therapies to meet each person’s personal needs and goals. We work with them and their families.
Our experienced staff provides support for adults with cognitive, physical, or sensory disabilities. Emphasis is on:
self-direction
communication
community participation
health and wellness
relationships
safety
recreation
We also coordinate nursing, occupational, physical, and speech therapies on site.
Perhaps most importantly, Day Habilitation gives people the chance to live fulfilling, joyful, and purposeful lives. They have the ability to advocate for themselves. From cooking and fitness to gardening and art, there is no lack of activities to choose from. People can build skills and invest in personal growth.
No matter a person’s needs, the Advocates team at Day Habilitation is ready to work with everyone one on one to develop a personal plan for a fulfilling and active life.
Notes
Advocates believes that independence is one of the most important attributes of a satisfying life, and we create support systems that encourage this for adults with disabilities in our Day Habilitation services at the Life Skills & Learning Center.
Adults with developmental disabilities age 22 and older who qualify for MassHealth are eligible to participate in our Day Habilitation program. Private pay opportunities are available. Please call our staff to discuss your needs.
