Narrative
Opened in 2016, the Autism Family Support Center provides services to families from diverse cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds including those who are supporting an individual with autism.
Conveniently located in downtown Lynn, the Center is easily accessible to public transportation and offers a variety of programs during the day, after hours and on weekends.
Access the Center’s Services
Families of adults and children living at home who are eligible for services from DDS have access to the Center. Our purpose is to support families when they need it most, to provide resources for individuals with disabilities and their families to attain the highest level of support to positively impact their lives.
Customize Case Management
Each family will participate in an initial face-to-face assessment to identify a support plan designed to meet individual needs. Special attention will be paid to the family’s strengths and interests as well as their community and spiritual affiliations/memberships. Services will include but are not limited to:
- Information and referral
- Service Navigation
- Family training
- Mentoring
- Respite
- In-home supports
- Goal setting, monitoring and outcome assessment will ensure that families will be supported as their needs evolve
