The PLUS Company of Massachusetts provides community-based supports and programming. The Community Integration Program, located in Lawrence, provides support, recreation, and education to adults with developmental disabilities (DD) through a variety of year-round programs. People attend classes and activities led by teachers who ensure that all offerings maximize each individual’s ability to live, volunteer, learn, and socialize in the community.
Some of the activities this group enjoys includes visiting local libraries to improve research and computer skills, creating artwork at Michael’s Crafts, fitness activities at the Lawrence YMCA, bowling, yoga, and ceramic classes.
Volunteer opportunities include participating in the Adopt-A-Park Program, sorting clothes at the Salvation Army and Lowell Wish, and bagging groceries at Neighbors in Need and the Lowell Food Pantry.
