Advocates Day Services are open to adults with disabilities age 18 and older. Services may be funded by Massachusetts state agencies including the Department of Developmental Services, Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, MassHealth, and others.
Narrative
We provide people with disabilities a range of opportunities to learn, grow, and participate in their communities. Our Day and Employment Services are at locations in Ashland, Franklin, Millbury, Plainville, and Sterling. We partner with adults and their families to provide experiences and activities suited to each person’s interests, skills, needs, and goals.
Whether it’s by continuing education, improving overall health and wellness, giving back to the community, finding employment, or exploring new hobbies. Our Day and Employment Services encourage adults with disabilities on a lifetime path of self-exploration and development.
Our facilities house fitness facilities, art and kitchen spaces, vocational training spaces, and more. We also foster connections to the community. Partnering with libraries, arts groups, local businesses, and other organizations give even more chances for people to lead active and fulfilling lives.
Notes
We place tremendous value on providing individuals with disabilities a multitude of opportunities to learn, grow, and participate in their communities. Through our Day Services at the Life Skills & Learning Center, Advocates staff partners with adults who have disabilities and their families to customize experiences and activities uniquely suited to each person’s interests, skills, needs, and goals.
