Narrative
The Arc’s Representative Payee Program serves as the institutional representative or “rep” payee for people and families. We ensure their monthly bills are paid on-time and in-full. The program serves as the payee for people and families who receive Social Security Income (SSI). We ensure that their rent, utilities, past debt and other expenses are paid each month.
The program coordinator helps the person negotiate past debts and repayment plans with the debtor. Also, the program provides financial education. We have monthly budget counseling and connection to other relevant services in the community. This includes but not limited to learning how to budget for groceries, personal needs, holidays and vacations.
To join our rep payee program you must be in our AFC or DDS Programs.
