Narrative
While each program has it’s unique characteristics they also have much in common. Each program is designed to provide innovative opportunities and activities to adults living with intellectual and physical disabilities by teaching participants various skills which help to enhance, strengthen and attain personal growth and independence in their lives. Our day programs offer integrated therapies of Occupational, Behavior Management, Physical and Speech to address functional skill building in the following domains: Communication, Socialization, Behavior, Independent Living, Self Help, Gross and Fine Motor, and Sensory Awareness. We also provide opportunities to address Choice Making, Self Advocacy, and Community Awareness by expanding on each individual’s needs, preferences and unique learning styles.
Also provide services to adults with primary diagnosis of Intellectual Disability, and secondary diagnosis is visual impairment, head injury, language impairment, etc. Entrance criteria include Antley Bixler Syndrome range=120 to 130, must not exhibit serious aggressive behavior which results in serious bodily harm. Has converted to day habilitation center; funding by Medicaid.
Services are completely free to people who qualify for Mass Health.
