Narrative

The Life Skills Day Habilitation programs offered at Cape Abilities Lyndon Center in Hyannis and the Cochran Center in Eastham enhance the quality of life of the individuals we support through a variety of therapeutic approaches.Cape Codders with disabilities take part in activities designed to maintain and improve skills for daily living, communication, personal safety and wellness.

Individual must have a developmental/intellectual disability (including Prader-Willi Syndrome and Autism) and are eligible for services through the Department of Developmental Services.

Individuals are evaluated and assessed across several developmental need areas. These include self-help, sensorimotor, communication, social, independent living, affective and behavioral development. Individualized plans and goals are developed for all participants.
