Cadmus Lifesharing Association
General Info
Narrative
Cadmus Lifesharing Association includes 7 households throughout southern Berkshire County. Founded in 1984 and incorporated in 1989, Cadmus was created to bring the Lifesharing philosophy of using natural means to optimize physical and mental health and well being.
Cadmus is licensed through the Department of Developmental Services to provide community-based day services for people who have a developmental disability. Our day program is offered in one-to-one and small-group settings with activities centered on the interests of the individual we are supporting. A typical day might consist of spending time exercising at Berkshire South Community Center, completing a volunteer project, lunch with friends, participating in a social skills group, and taking a CATA class. Our focus is on helping people increase their independent living skills and community awareness in the natural, functional settings where they live.
