Narrative
Through Person Centered Planning and Discovery, NEBA Employment Consultants assist individuals to identify and attain employment that meets each individuals unique preferences, interests and possible support needs. On-going support is provided so that each person can meet their goals and further develop their career choices.
NEBA also offers a Career Ladders program, a vocational skill building program. Components include financial literacy, self-determination and advocacy skills, career exploration, employment preparedness skills, social and life skills.
Participants work with NEBA staff to identify personal goals and ways to achieve them. Activities range from post-secondary education opportunities, participation on a Board of Directors, and volunteering at a local business to health club membership, outdoor experiences, and much more.
