Narrative
The Arc of Greater Brockton’s Family Support Center provides information, education, and referral services. We help parents to successfully manage the challenges of raising a child with disabilities. Support groups and parent meetings are sponsored by the Family Support Center. We offer chances for families to connect with other families. They can share resources and build support networks.
Members of the Family Support Center Team include Coordinators that are fluent in Portuguese, Cape Verdean Creole, French, Spanish and Haitian Creole. We can also arrange for translation and interpretation in other languages upon request.
The Cape Verdean Outreach Program provides Family Support services: information and referral, service navigation and home visits. These services are for Cape Verdean families who have children or adult members with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The Spanish Support Group meets every other month. Families learn about resources, share support, and hear presentations from disability experts in Spanish.
The Haitian Family Support Group meet throughout the year to share information and support You can learn about resources available to your family. The whole family is welcome!
