Narrative
HMEA Day Services offer two programs with the goal of helping people become active members of their communities. Focus is on employment, volunteering and community membership. We believe that it is important that the people supported at HMEA spend their work week in a productive and meaningful way. Services are based on the needs and preferences of each person.
HMEA’s Day Hab Programs provides self-directed services designed to increase independent living, good health and satisfaction with one’s life. The focus is to help people identify skill areas that are of interest to them, ensure personal well being. We help people to become more involved in community activities. These programs foster growth in community integration, relationship building, social and communication skills, activities for daily living and recreational activities.
We offer services to people who are at least 22 years old who have been diagnosed with autism and/or other developmental disabilities. Participants must live within commuting distance of Millbury, Plainville, Franklin, or Sterling in Massachusetts.
