Narrative

Funded by Department of Developmental Services (DDS), this program provides hourly supports to adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities (IDD) living on their own in the community.

Community Living Supports help people with developmental or intellectual disabilities (IDD) live on their own safely. They can be as productive in the community as their skills allow them to be. Staff assist people with:

  • activities of daily living
  • accessing services
  • money management
  • medical and psychiatric oversight
  • social and recreational activities

Hourly supports to people living on their own, with housemates or significant others. They live in the Springfield/Westfield area. Supports vary from one to fifteen hours per week. Services focus on help with the day to day details of living on one’s own. Supports including:

  • skill building and education
  • liaison with other professionals
  • employment search
  • benefits/ financial management
  • accessing generic services
  • general case management
