Adult Family Care offers Massachusetts residents who are eligible for MassHealth and meet the state’s eligibility criteria an opportunity for a family-centered living experience.
The Arc of Bristol County’s Adult Family Care (AFC) program offers residents of Massachusetts who need assistance with activities of daily living due to frailty, chronic illness, advanced age, or cognitive, physical or mental disability the opportunity to safely live in a family home. AFC gives participants an opportunity to live with trained, paid caregivers.
AFC provides nursing and case management services, and partners with the participant and their caregiver to offer on-going support and resources. Caregivers also receive a monthly stipend.
AFC participants must be at least 16 years of age, qualify for MassHealth, require assistance with one or more activities of daily living, and be willing to participate in the program.
